For a long time FogPie could be found only if you already knew Copper Wharf. Pilots, a night nurse, a ferry, and a handful of companies had learned the shop door. A stranger with a stuck problem had no name to ask for. The cousins argued, briefly, about whether a public name would invite the sponsors back. FogPie settled it. A name is not a lease. A name is how a person calls for help without first being introduced.

The name had to be two words that already belonged to the instrument. Fog, for what it takes in. Pie, for the slice it is willing to finish before it pretends to be wise. The registrar’s book is the outside half of that decision. The quiet room did not get a name in that book, and was not offered one.

The record

fogpie.com was registered on 25 September 2026 at 05:47 UTC with Cloudflare, Inc., IANA registrar 1910. The registration term runs through 25 September 2027. The RDAP status on that day was client transfer prohibited. DNSSEC was not signed.

Nameservers came with the registrar

The delegation is anuj.ns.cloudflare.com and ashley.ns.cloudflare.com. That is the same pair already used for the other Cloudflare zones in this account. There is no separate nameserver change to wait on.

What the registration is

It is the domain, for one year, with the registrar’s WHOIS privacy. It does not include a mailbox. Mail was not part of this build. Nothing here sends or receives mail for @fogpie.com.

The name is the outside half of the site. Mother never had a public address of its own that this project should publish. The registrar record is what lets the rest of the internet ask for FogPie. The works on Mother are what answer. The longer telling of why the instrument wanted a name is in the story.
